Besides starring beautiful model-cum-actress Lily Cole, Terry Gilliam’s upcoming epic ‘The Imaginarium Of Doctor Parnassus’ marks the last film role of the late Heath Ledger. Thankfully, Gilliam, the genius behind ‘Monty Python’ and the celluloid adaptation of ‘Fear & Loathing In Las Vegas’, brings to the screen Ledger’s dark wit with a nudge-nudge and a wink-wink. Set in present day, the flick tells a fantastical tale of morality. Dr Parnassus, played by Ledger, travels with his ‘Imaginarium’ theatre, inviting his audience members to choose between light and joy; darkness and gloom. As Ledger didn’t get to finish filming his parts, dapper actors Johnny Depp, Jude Law and Colin Farrell were all enlisted to complete scenes, each representing a different incarnation of the lead character. Touted as one of Ledger’s most brilliant performances, this will definitely be one to watch.
‘The Imginarium Of Doctor Parnassus’ hits cinemas October 29.
