The Monty Python crew, headed by John Cleese, Terry Gilliam, Terry Jones and Michael Palin made such a mark in the history of comedy, that even today’s generation of standup comedians reference them as influence. Their films are so packed with slapstick, they make anything that followed pale in comparison. One of the funniest of these is Monty Python And The Holy Grail, which follows a mock King Arthur and his Knights as they search for the Holy Grail, putting up with severed limbs, killer rabbits and holy hand grenades, along their mission. The film is now available for the first time on Blu-ray, with stacks of features intact, including lost animations, an introduction from Terry Gilliam, outtakes and extended scenes. Oh, and there’s even a special Japanese version to boot!
Monty Python And The Holy Grail is out on Blu-ray through Sony Pictures Home Entertainment.
