Perth band San Cisco (well, from Fremantle, actually) return with a new single, Wild Things, another vibrant pop gem taken from their forthcoming self-titled debut album.
With the band’s first big single, Awkward, nearing the 2.5million view mark on YouTube, and San Cisco nominated for no less than three ARIA Awards this year (Breakthrough Artist, Best Independent Release, and Best Pop Release), it’s no surprise that fans have been waiting for something brand-spanking new and brilliant from the group. Indeed, Wild Things is just that, delving into
layered, experimental pop with shimmering guitar licks and riffs, all intertwined with the dual vocals of spunky Scarlett Stevens and Jordi Davieson.
The band say that the new song is deeper than its title might suggest: analysing the way in which we over-think and calculate within our own minds, ideas that we let run wild.
As the first-ever Australian group to sign to Fat Possum/RCA Records, they join the likes of innovative and influential acts such as Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Al Green, Friends, Youth Lagoon and blues legend, R.L. Burnside. The future’s so bright…
