Cyndi Lauper to star in her own reality TV show

Once upon a time, Cyndi Lauper was as successful a chart-hitter as Madonna. Indeed they were rivals upon first entering the music scene (chart-speaking that is, because they seemed to be cool enough with each other socially).

Now Cyndi is set to shine bright again, in her very own reality TV show.

Although we’re not usually ones for reality telly – especially the trashy sort – we wouldn’t mind seeing some of Cyndi, who has always been kooky enough in her own right to warrant special attention.

The show is titled Still So Unusual and will air Sundays at 7.30pm on Foxtel’s Bio channel, commencing August 4.

Just in time, too, for Laupers arrival in Australia for her ‘She’s So Unusual’ tour – which celebrates the 30th anniversary of the album, and which is sure to include ubiquitous pop classics like She Bop, Time After Time and of course Girls Just Wanna Have Fun.
