Season 3 of 'Wentworth' confirmed

Foxtel announced this week that a third season of acclaimed prison drama, ‘Wentworth’ is a definite goer.

Shooting is still underway for season two of the show and will wrap mid-February. Then production will resume for season three in March, keeping cast and crew in cell blocks at the Melbourne location until mid-year.

For those who’ve had their head in the sand, ‘Wentworth’ is a drama that draws on characters and themes of iconic ’80s TV show, ‘Prisoner’, but positing these into the here and now.

‘Wentworth’ was the highest subscribed/downloaded series on the net last year, beating all online subscription records. Season one is currently available on Blu-ray and DVD through Shock Entertainment.
