Some of their outfits were over-the-top; others so minimal they mightn’t even bothered wearing clothing (hello, Samantha). But one thing’s for certain – the girls in ‘Sex And The City’ left an indelible mark with their fashion statements.
The majority of the show’s wardrobe was pulled together by US costumer designer, Patricia Field, who announced today that she will be visiting Perth this year to present an exhibition of some of the TV series’ famous outfits.
The exhibition will be on display in the heart of Perth city, in shopping complex, enex100, where fans and fashionistas will have the chance to get up close to some seriously swish frocks.
New York-based Field has been to Australia before – in fact last year she put on a similar exhibit in Melbourne, to positive response.
It’s been nearly a decade since the infamous US TV series delivered its final episode (2004), but it seems Field’s work is still highly reputable, having been listed in Time magazine’s 100 Most Influential Fashion Icons of All Time last year.
Cream will have dates of the exhibition for you as soon as they come to hand.
