So we’ve all complained there is never enough hotel accommodation available in Perth. But change is a-happening, bit by bit.
News just to hand is that the Ritz-Carlton is to open a luxury hotel at Perth’s Elizabeth Quay in 2018.
It’ll be a 204-room hotel that stands beside two skyscrapers of residential apartments, also owned and being developed by the group.
The residential complex will house 420 luxury one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments across two towers that will be adjacently positioned to the Bell Tower.
There will also be ground-floor shops and fine-dining restaurants in the residential section with “sweeping views over the Swan River”.
According to a press release issued to media, “The Ritz-Carlton Perth would be the city’s first international luxury hotel”.
Hopefully, too, it’ll make way for more quality hotels and residential living spaces in the city that is finding it difficult to even keep up with local population growth.
