If you’ve not seen an episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race yet, you really are missing out on some of the best reality TV – or, to use a more common description on the show, “some absolute fishness”.
In the series, the world’s greatest drag queen, RuPaul, invites a panel of judges – this season including the likes of Khloe Kardashian, Paula Abdul and Adam Lambert – to help him pick the next best drag superstar.
And this season will see the first Australian drag artiste to have made it onto the show – with big congrats to the fabulous (and actually very lovely) Courtney Act.
Said Brisbane-born Courtney, “As a young boy I remember the first time I became aware of RuPaul. It was 1993, the boys from my dance school and I huddled around the cassette deck to listen to something that would change me forever. Twenty-one years later, I feel I have come of age, in a full circle moment, living in the US and being a contestant on RuPaul’s Drag Race.”
Viewers can expect a highly entertaining and unpredictable season that will prove to be not just about big wigs and high, high heels, but about performers with true passion who’ll shine as some of the best personalities on reality television yet.
Season Six of RuPaul’s Drag Race airs at 9pm, Wednesday 28 May on Foxtel’s LifeStyle YOU Channel.
