Courtney Love’s first solo tour

If one woman was to represent the postmodern, post-feminist, kohl-smeared, lipstick-smudged grunge of the ’90s, it’d have to be Courtney Love. Once described by Rolling Stone as “the most controversial woman in the history of rock”, Ms Love has certainly had her rollercoaster-size share of headlines.

From weathering human tragedy – including the passing, of course, of partner Kurt Cobain, to battling personal demons and defending criticism from media and public alike, Love has been through it all… and come up trumps, quite frankly.

The eyeliner is still a little smeared, but Courtney Love is looking and sounding brilliant today. Fans will get to witness this when she tours Australia in August to play several sets across the country, comprising of solo songs and (we’re hoping) some Hole classics.
