Star of Whitney biopic looks spookily like her

Talk about a spitting image. Yaya DaCosta, former America’s Next Top Model contestant, looks remarkably like Whitney Houston in her early days, after being made up to feature as the singer in a forthcoming biopic.

DaCosta will play the lead role in the tentatively title ‘I Will Always Love You: The Whitney Houston Story’ which is being directed by Angela Bassett.

The film is expected to cover a lot of ground in telling Whitney’s life story, from her rise to the top, through her turbulent marriage to Bobby Brown, to her drug issues and ultimate downfall and overdose.

It won’t be the first time DaCosta has appeared on-screen, having featured in hit TV series ‘All My Children’, ‘House’ and ‘Ugly Betty’, and also having appeared in the 2013 film ‘The Butler’.
