THE NEW. RETRO. MODERN.

Neneh Cherry heading down under

Neneh Cherry @2x

“Looking good, hanging with the wild bunch; looking good in a buffalo stance…” Ah, who could forget them too-cool-for-school lyrics from the one-and-only Neneh Cherry.

One of the better female artists of the late ’80s and early ’90s house and hip-hop scenes, Swedish-born, Brit-living Cherry impressed us with a fab debut record in Raw Like Sushi.

Her hit singles include the aforementioned Buffalo Stance, Kisses On The Wind, Manchild, Inna City Mamma and an excellent rendition of Cole Porter’s I’ve Got You Under My Skin as contributed to the memorable Red, Hot & Blue charity album.

Cherry was as popular in the music vernacular as she was in her political opinion – tough enough to have her say, but never too brawny to lose her oh-so sexy appeal.

Anyways, the gal is heading down under for her very first tour of Oz, kicking off with the first show as part of the Perth International Arts Festival.

Dates, venues and ticket details below. Book one. Nuff said.  Antonino Tati
