Madonna steals the limelight at this year's Grammys

So far at the Grammys, Madonna has stolen the show, donning her best B&D gear with a little help from trusty couturiers at the House of Givenchy. Dressed in an outfit that looks like having been inspired by traditional Spanish bullfighting meets the underground S&M scene, Madge looked, well, typically Madge. The out-there ensemble ties in nicely with the release of the music video for her new single Living For Love which also features the Material Girl sexing it up in matador-inspired guise.
Such hype certainly overshadowed otherwise lacklustre performances at this year’s Grammys thus far including Tom Jones and Jessie J practically putting the audience to sleep with their rendition of the Righteous Brothers You’ve Lost That Lovin’ Feeling. Lost it alright… Pharrell Williams also bored us, albeit with another take on his ubiquitous single of last year, Happy.
But to the winners so far…
Beyoncé has gone and won the oddly innovative ‘Best Surround Sound Album’ category while the Best New Artist artist trophy has gone to lovelorn crooner, Sam Smith. Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album went to Tony Bennett & Lady Gaga for Cheek To Cheek (and we hadn’t even heard of it); Best Pop Solo Performance to Pharrell Williams’ for (yes) Happy; Best Rock Performance to Jack White for Lazaretto; Best Rock Album to Beck for Morning Phase, and, oh heck, read the full list below.
