The bigger, the better

A very big deal was made recently when ‘The Giants’ took to Perth streets, leaving viewers in awe over their sheer size. But it’s not the first time something so mammoth has been presented to local audiences. Walking With Dinosaurs – The Arena Spectacular was a huge success in 2007 when they first stormed Australian arenas.
For those who didn’t get to see the dinos first time around, here’s good news: they’ll once again roam Australian soil when the spectacular production, based on the BBC TV series, returns in 2015.
Already, worldwide, more than eight million people in 240 cities over 2,000 performances have seen Walking With Dinosaurs – The Arena Spectacular, and, in 2010 it was named the number one tour globally by Pollstar.
This year’s updated production will showcase spectacular changes to the dinosaurs based on the latest scientific research.
“Many of our creatures have ‘evolved’ since the last tour,” tells Global Creatures CEO, Carmen Pavlovic, “now featuring distinctive display feathers, head crests and tail fans, all reflecting recent discoveries about the physical nature of these massive creatures.”
Suffice to say, the show remains a must-see for audiences of all ages. Lisa Andrews
