Blur are back with a new album and tour

When you think of ’90s Britpop, one band springs to mind: Blur. The band did indeed blur the boundaries between pop and rock, sincerity and irony, high art and disposable trash, gender roles and class, and they’re still at it today, either with solo projects, major spin-offs (think: Gorillaz), even delivering new music as a band (new album ‘The Magic Whip’ is killer!).
Recently, the Blur announced it will grace our shores – after an 18-year absence from them! And that, to us, is a big deal. After winning five BRIT Awards, and delivering eight excellent studio albums, Blur have proven time and again that they’re just as relevant on the live stage.
The band will make their way to Australia in the last week of July, fresh from headlining the British Summer Time Festival in London’s Hyde Park, and will play major arena shows in Sydney, Melbourne and Perth.
Joining the blur on the bill will be special guest Jamie T, one of the most distinctive voices to come out of the UK in the past decade. Venue and dates details as follows. Antonino Tati
