Star Wars: The Force Awakens… alas the film's poster is here

Star Wars fans should be shaking in their Ewok costumes in anticipation since it’s been announcedthe first trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens will be released tomorrow. To tease you ahead of time, Lucasfilm have unleashed the film’s poster today.

Two things we’ve noticed at a glance. Firstly, our female heroine Rey is featured prominently centre (thanks to the rise of the heroine in modern cinema!) and secondly, it looks like there’s a giant Nike tick in there if you squint (clever subliminal something-or-other).

Anyways, the film stars Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Adam Driver, Daisy Ridley, John Boyega, Oscar Isaac, Lupita Nyong’o, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew and Max Von Sydow. Kathleen Kennedy, J.J. Abrams and Bryan Burk are producing with Tommy Harper and Jason McGatlin serving as executive producers. The screenplay is by J.J. Abrams & Lawrence Kasdan and Michael Arndt.

Tickets to the highly anticipated film will be on sale tomorrow.  Michael Mastess
