A Demarchelier exhibition that demands attention
If you happen to be in New York over December or January, be sure to visit the Staley Wise Gallery on Broadway for a superb exhibition of the work of photographer Patrick Demarchelier.
In case you’ve had your head in the sand for the past four decades (or are just plain not with it), Demarchelier is one of the world’s most renowned photographers, focusing on fashion and celebrity portraiture since 1975.
The latest exhibition is dubbed ‘Photographs 1975 – 2015’ and will feature a host of favourite images from his repertoire.
Patrick Demarchelier’s ‘Photographs 1975 – 2015’ is on at the Staley Wise Gallery, 560 Broadway, New York from December 4, 2015 to January 30, 2016.
Interesting Factoid: The fruit doesn’t fall far from the tree with Patrick’s son Victor Demarchelier also a photographer, and having shot several times for Cream Magazine. Enjoy more of Patrick’s work, below, including a most memorable portrait of Madonna, circa early 1990s.
