Jean Paul Gaultier designs for Target Australia
You’ve gotta love it when Target joins hands with iconic high-end designers, and gets them to create fashion and homewares that are far more affordable than usual and yet still very (very) stylish.
Big names who’ve teamed with the department store in the past include Oscar De La Renta, Todd Oldham, Stella McCartney and Jason Wu.
This week, Target Australia announced its partnership with iconic French designer Jean Paul Gaultier, to deliver its biggest-ever designer collaboration to hit Australian stores.
The collection will combine Gaultier’s unique and quirky style and will channels his design ethos into clothing that resonates with the Australian seasons and lifestyle.
Said the designer, “I have looked for inspiration in many ways but one of the constants is the street and what people are wearing. I believe in fashion that you can wear everyday not just on a catwalk – which is really what Target stands for at its core – which made it the right retail partner for me to choose to bring this range to market in Australia.”
Jean Paul Gaultier’s exclusive Target collection will be available online and in selected Target stores across Australia early next year.
