New Massive Attack EP to send chills down your back

It’s been a long time coming but Massive Attack finally return with some new epic music. This week they release a four-track EP dubbed ‘Ritual Spirit’.

It includes collaborations with Roots Manuva (the noiresque opening track ‘Dead Editors’), Young Fathers (‘Voodoo In My Blood’ which recalls a very ‘Mezzanine’ Massive Attack), Azekel (the title track), and a regular from the crew’s early days, Tricky (on the rather dark closer ‘Take It There’).

To mark the EP release, Massive Attack have released a brand new video for ‘Take It There’. Directed by Hiro Murai and starring Oscar-nominated actor John Hawkes, it’s well worth a view here.
