Another tome pays tribute to splendid Melbourne…

I’m going to guess that of all Australian capital cities, Melbourne would have the most coffee table books published about it. In fact, so stylish is the city and its populace that there’s probably a coffee table book about, well, Melbourne coffee tables!
Melbourne Secrets by Stephen Crafti is yet another of those tomes that pay tribute to that Australian city that appears as though it belongs more near the Alps of Europe or along the coast of the Mediterranean (in architecture, at the very least).
The book roams through Melbourne’s many laneways and quaint streets, generous parklands and broad boulevards, honing in on majestic landmarks and cosmopolitan attractions including cool boutiques, culinary hotspots and fabulous hubs that house the best in interior and design.
There’s a geographical and generational history that’ll fill you in on how Melbourne came to be the Euro-inflected urban centre that it is, all accompanied by glorious photography galore.
Whether you’re a local or a visitor to Melbourne, Melbourne Secrets will reveal plenty of splendid surprises about a city that’s forever bursting with style. Antonino Tati
‘Melbourne Secrets’ by Stephen Crafti is published by The Images Publishing Group, RRP $80.00 from quality book stores, physical and online.
