Gloria Steinem announced as headline guest of Sydney Writer's Festival

In a timely announcement on International Women’s Day, the good folk of the Sydney Writers’ Festival have revealed one of it’s headline guests will be world-renowned writer and revolutionary rights activist Gloria Steinem.
Steinem will appear at the Sydney Town Hall on Friday 20th May as part of the writer’s festival, its full program released Thursday 31st March, where she’ll reveal some of the personal encounters that have shaped she and her politic.
From her early experience in social activism among women in India (and much of the rest of the world, we might add) to the founding of Ms. magazine, Gloria Steinem’s career has been a colourful and global game-changing one so far.
In Australia for the first time since the 1980s, Gloria will reference her autobiography My Life On The Road and will also talk a little about the current US Presidential elections where she has been a vocal supporter of Hilary Clinton.
The Sydney Writers’ Festival runs from Monday 16th May to Sunday 22nd May. Antonino Tati
