Stars set to descend on Sydney and Perth for Supanova Expo

Supanova is a phenomenal and rather fabulous expo that happens once a year, bringing together fans and stars of the gaming, geek TV, cult cinema and comic book worlds.
The Supanova Expo was established in Sydney in 2000 as a home-grown Australian production showcasing sci-fi, fantasy, comics, animé, manga, video games, and much more. Run by a diverse and passionate team of independent professionals with backgrounds in private industry and the creative sector, Supanova has now expanded to six cities (Perth, the Gold Coast, Melbourne, Sydney, Adelaide and Brisbane) to become Australia’s premier event of its kind, with hundreds of thousands of attendees per year.
After months of planning Supanova 2016, an army of special guests can finally be revealed, with the following Supa-star celebrities booked in to attend the June events in Perth and Sydney.
First up is Travis Fimmel hot off the premiere of Warcraft. Travis currently stars as Ragnar in Vikings (pictured above), and will soon dominate the big screen as Sir Anduin Lothar in the Warcraft film.
Joining Travis is Deadpool duo Brianna Hildebrand and Stefan Kapicic. The pair starred opposite Ryan Reynolds in the smash hit as the title character’s allies Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Colossus, respectively representing their X-Men teammates.
It’s also vampire versus werewolf as actors Peter Facinelli and Tyler Hoechlin return to Supanova. Peter is best known as Carlisle Cullen in The Twilight Saga, and currently appears in the new Supergirl TV series. While Tyler, of Teen Wolf fame, is heating up the big screen as Boyce Fox in two upcoming instalments of the Fifty Shades Of Grey franchise.
Not to stray far from the supernatural theme, Brian Krause – who played Leo Wyatt in the cult series Charmed – also joins the lineup, reuniting with his co-stars Shannen Doherty and Holly Marie Combs.
And Troy Baker is unique in that he has voiced numerous characters from the Batman universe, including Batman (most recently in Lego Dimensions), the Joker (Batman: Arkham Origins), Robin (Batman: Arkham City) and Two-Face (Batman: Arkham Knight). And that’s a lot of character-swapping!
And don’t get us started on the many comic book writers who’ll be appearing, suffice to say that comic geeks will be well stoked.
Kids and adults alike will enjoy movie previews and screenings, gaming demonstrations, competitions, and the opportunity to shop for must-have pop-culture items including comics, DVDs and Blu-rays, figurines, accessories and clothing.
What’s not to get supa-excited about? Antonino Tati
