Fast food brand Burger King opens its own sauna

Fast food doesn’t ordinarily make you think of health and wellness. So the idea of a sauna branded with the words ‘Burger King’ probably seems absurd. But that’s just what fast food giant Burger King have gone and done – opened up its own 15-sauna in Helsinki, Finland.

The sauna is fitted on the ground floor of the restaurant and is being described as “perfect for a group of friends for social gatherings or work [or a] venue for the birthday party, or even the organization of the show studio” (whatever that last bit means).

Finnish interior designer Teuvo Lomanin created pretty typical-looking sauna although this one includes a laundry room, dressing room, toilet and, of course, media lounge.

Use of the Burger King sauna costs $388 AUD for three hours.

There is a smaller, 10-person spa which boasts a flat screen TV and PlayStation 4, where guests can lie on blue and orange benches wearing, you guessed it, Burger King robes, and even BK crowns.

But the big clincher is that guests can order Burger King meals to “enjoy” in the sauna areas.

Would you like fries and sweat with that?  Antonino Tati
