Whiskey-ed back in time

On August 3, Perth beverage conisseurs and the just-plain curious will get a taste of America’s whiskey-soaked history, quite literally.

To celebrate the 150th anniversary of its distillery in Lynchburg, Tennessee, Jack Daniels will be taking guests on a time-travelling whiskey experience like no other. The tour guide will be Jack Daniel’s own Assistant Master Distiller Chris Fletcher, who, on his first visit to Australia, will be on hand to share his incredible knowledge of whiskey-making.

Guests will find themselves taken back in time, starting with the prohibition 1920s, then on to the suave Sinatra style of the ’50s, before coming to the age of rock’n’roll in the ’70s, ’80s, and ’90s.

If this sounds all too academic, don’t worry: the evening includes a whiskey tasting masterclass , and enough whiskey and cocktail drinking to satisfy all tastes.
