Tribute bras to Chrissy Amphlett created for a good cause
Australian rock icon Chrissy Amphlett lived life large. Unfortunately hers was a journey that ended with a double-whammy of tragic diagnoses: multiple sclerosis in 2007, and breast cancer in 2010.
In 2011, the artist said she was in remission from the latter but alas she passed away in 2013 from the disease, leaving family and fans in mourning.
In tribute to Chrissy, underwear brand Berlei has partnered with the ‘I Touch Myself Project’ to create ‘The Chrissy Bra’ range comprising of two rock’n’roll-style bras.
With 100% of the profits going to Breast Cancer Network Australia, the Post-Surgery bra has been designed for women who have undergone breast cancer surgery, while the T-Shirt bra reminds women to touch themselves and take their breast health into their own hands, getting to know their breasts and making self-examination a routine part of their lives.
