The Moon clocks a quarter century of out-of-this-world hospitality…

Junior Astronaut Sam Price and various space oddities join in on the Moon Cafe’s 25th birthday celebrations…
Twenty-five years in business is an achievement in any field but in hospitality it’s an absolute feat! Indeed, a quarter of a century is just what the Moon Cafe in Northbridge, Perth, celebrated last weekend – just in time to coincide with Halloween shenanigans so of course the owners asked guests to come party dressed in specially-themed costume.
Of course, with a name like the Moon, that theme would have to be a spacey one, and the party’s subtitle of ‘Colony Uprising’ inspired punters to don their post-apocalyptic space-age best.
In attendance were various members of the hospitality industry, avid attendees of the cafe, cyber and street press, and those simply up for an outlandish time.
But it’s the decor that impressed us most – with the Moon’s owners going all out in decking the place so that it looked like scenes from sci-fi television series Lost In Space.
Warning, Will Robinson, warning! It looks like these groovers have their lasers set to ‘Party Like It’s Twenty-Nine Ninety-Nine’… Antonino Tati
