Make a bee(r)-line for the South West
Partakers and makers of beer across WA will be descending on Busselton for one special day this weekend. To be held on Saturday 11 February, the 2017 South West Beer Festival will showcase the best of the region’s craft beer, all in the one place.
This year’s event promises to be the best yet, with a record number of brewers, from Mandurah to the south coast of Denmark, ready to show off their wares. But for those who are not so beer-orientated, don’t fear, as the Festival has you covered, too. There will be plenty of local fine wines, tangy ginger beers and mouth-watering craft ciders on hand to quench your thirst.
And let’s not forget about the food that will help all those beverages go down even better. To top it all off, some of the best up-and-coming local music acts will be busting out the beats to get revelers in the party mood.
With over 100 local brews expected to be available to taste on the day, as well as all the delectable food and world-class music acts taking part, the good times (as well as the beer) are sure to keep flowing.
Event entry numbers are strictly limited, so pre-purchase booking is recommended to secure your place. Chris Prindiville
The South West Beer Festival is on Feb 11 at the Old Broadwater Farm, Busselton.
