Aussie electronic artist Flume scores a Grammy
Australian artist and record producer Flume (a.k.a. Harley Streten) has won a Grammy Award in the category of Best Dance/Electronic Album for his sophomore album Skin.
Other nominees in the category included esteemed electronic Jean-Michel Jarre along with Underworld, Tycho and (goodness, we hardly even knew he had a new record out) Louie Vega.
Harley, a first-time Grammy-winner, said at the ceremony this morning (Australian time) he is “really proud to be here representing Australia and Australian music on this stage right now”.
Sydney-based Flume has remixed songs by artists such as Lorde (with whom he’s pictured, above), Arcade Fire and Disclosure, and recently did well on Triple J’s Hottest 100 chart. Michael Mastess
