Awards good enough to eat
When it comes to eating out nowadays, diners have never been more discerning. With this newfound obsession with what goes on to our plates, the pressure has moved on to restaurants to find new ways to get patrons through the doors. One of the most surefire ways to get the attention of diners is to bag yourself a prestigious award. Up until February 21st, restaurateurs from across Asia will be hoping to gain this competitive advantage at Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants Awards, to be hosted this year at the W Hotel in Bangkok, Thailand.
Sponsored by San Pellegrino and Acqua Panna, the fifth edition of this event will be sure to attract the best culinary talent from across various regions. Along with the foodies and industry VIPs, the international media will also be on hand to witness the crowning of Asia’s best chefs and restaurants.
The 2017 event program will also include a #50BestTalks event, combining local food discovery and interactive chef demonstrations to explore regional food trends and local Thai cooking techniques.
With competition growing fiercer each year, entrants are going to need to bring out the knives… and get to work on creating that next fine-dining sensation. Chris Prindiville
