This musical afterlife carries on at Perth’s Astor Theatre with the cleverly titled ‘Faith and Freedom Tour’, a musical celebration of one of pop’s biggest stars. It’s a show that promises to pull out all stops, with the Perth Symphony Orchestra supported by the remarkable WAAPA Gospel Choir, bringing a new orchestral sound to Michael’s biggest hits.
The songs have been re-imagined with the aim of taking audiences on an unforgettable emotional journey while also shedding new light on classics like Careless Whisper, Father Figure, Freedom, Faith and many more.
The evening will showcase some of WA’s best musical talent, brought together for the first time in concert. With famous George Michael duets to be performed by members of the Gospel Choir be prepared to be blown away.
There aren’t many recording artists who can boast of more than 100 million unit sales, but, then again, George Michael wasn’t your ordinary pop star. Taking place only two days after what would have been his 54th birthday, the ‘Faith and Freedom Tour’ is the perfect excuse to celebrate the musical achievements of a remarkable artist.
