This July, the Karma Chameleon himself, Boy George, is coming to town to headline a DJ set at the Ministry of Sound Pool Club.
Universally recognised as one of pop’s biggest artists, Boy George has maintained his position at the forefront of this rapidly changing, multi-faceted industry. But far more than a pop icon, George is also one of the world’s most respected DJs, having first taken to the turntables in the late ’70s, and continuing all the way through to early acid house and Chicago grooves in the ’80s to electro and tech house in the ’90s and ’00s.
A standout producer to boot, his pulsating productions over the years have been released under such imprints as such as Ministry of Sound, Sony, Hed Kandi and Universal and featured on compilations as varied as Global Underground, Bedrock and Chill Out Ibiza. His impressive list of collaborations stands equally tall with George having worked with dance heavyweights such as Erick Morillo, Jeremy Healy, Deep Dish, Rui Da Silva, Afrika Bambaataa and Faithless.
So, don’t miss out on this opportunity to see a music legend strut his stuff. This one-night only performance is sure to bouy the spirits. Chris Prindiville
