A cool blend of contemporary & retro culture

Third time unlucky

Sex & The City

Although it’s hard to believe now, there was a time when Carrie Bradshaw and her crew reigned supreme.

Fast forward nearly two decades and the ‘Sex and the City brand name has come in for some rough treatment. Ever since its move to the big screen, the critical plaudits that were once so plentiful have been replaced by jeers.

With producer and star Sarah Jessica Parker announcing just this week that the third instalment in the movie franchise will not be going ahead, it seems the time has finally been called on this once mighty pop culture phenomenon.

Audiences may have fallen out of love with Carrie and the gals, but thanks to the magic of television, we can go back to a time when Sex and the City truly was a thing to behold.  Chris Prindiville
