Garden of earthly delights
This November, getting out in the garden takes on a whole new meaning. At this year’s A Weekend In The Gardens, it will be music, sweet music, that fills the air.
Headlining the three-day event will be Aussie music icons Paul Kelly and Missy Higgins, with a varied list of artists (egs: Thundamentals, Spit Syndicate, Middle Kids, Birdz) on three bills – so there will be no shortage of quality tunes to take in and enjoy.
A big part of the event is about working with and enhancing the beautiful environment that is the Royal Botanic Gardens, Melbourne. As if the amazing live music and stunning setting wasn’t enough, revellers will also be able to sample some mouth-watering food and beverages.
And what better way to celebrate the Gardens than to use some of its native ingredients, with gum leaves, wattle seeds and lemon myrtle adding that extra bit of botanical punch to your favourite cocktails.
With all this on offer, why would you want to be anywhere else? Chris Prindiville
