From 'Jaws' to 'Jurassic Park'
In the world of film scores, John Williams is the music man to turn to.
For over four decades, Williams has provided the musical accompaniment to some of the biggest movie franchises of all time.
Having scored over 100 films, including his towering collaborations with Steven Spielberg and George Lucas on blockbusters like Jaws, Star Wars, Jurassic Park, and Indiana Jones, Williams’ music has pretty much soundtracked our very lives.
Following on from its success via the West Australian Symphony Orchestra, the music of John Williams can be experienced in pure form through the talents of the Queensland Symphony Orchestra in two special concerts next year, both on Saturday 24 February in the Concert Hall at the Queensland Performing Arts Centre.
Thankfully, you don’t have to get to a galaxy far, far away for this performance since it all takes place at QPAC. Chris Prindiville
