It’s official: The Big Bang Theory will end with its upcoming 12th season that airs from late September.
The massive comedy hit about the ups and downs of geek life proved to be a surprise runaway success when it first hit our screens in 2007.
But while the quirks of Sheldon, Raj, Leonard and Howard, and, of course, Penny and Amy Farrah Fowler seemed abrupt at first, viewers quickly cottoned on to the irony and warmed to this kooky crew.
It’s surprising news for fans, having been told just three weeks ago by producers that the show looked likely to go on…
Producers have promised the popular series will end with a blast… a proverbial one, at least.
Alas, we’ll have to wait to see if spin-offs are in the making, which wouldn’t surprise since the success of fresher series, Young Sheldon. Lisa Andrews
