The model who put Osborne Park on the map – well, not really, but she did grow up in the industrial suburb – is making her face known again on the fashion scene, after a rather lengthy break.

Gemma Ward appeared in a fashion show this week, wearing designs from the new season Alexander McQueen collection, alongside models Binx Walton, Adut Akech, and Vittoria Ceretti.
The collection blended femininity and fashionable grandeur, with touches of that infamous McQueen darkness, of course, and Ward walked the runway in a lace dress belted with swaths of leather.
Ward, who appeared on the cover of Cream‘s Hot Issue in 2008, took a break from the fashion industry shortly after, tentatively making her way back in 2014 when she walked the runway for Prada.
Since then she has been most selective about her work, and outside of this season’s McQueen show, her only other stint will be for Proenza Schouler.
