Duran Duran to induct Roxy Music into Rock and Roll Hall of Fame
Duran Duran have been invited to pay tribute to one their primary influences, and will be inducting Roxy Music into the Rock and Rock Hall of Fame at the end of this month.
Bass player John Taylor and keyboardist Nick Rhodes, both longtime members of Duran, will be doing the honours on March 29, with Rhodes once having said, “Roxy Music were from outer space, almost.”
In the past, Duran have freely admitted that some of their music was inspired by early Roxy Music, and Bryan Ferry, lead singer of the band responded by saying he was flattered.
The Hall of Fame induction ceremony will be the first time since 2011 that Roxy Music will reform and will follow Ferry’s return home after his tour of Australia.
