Three good reasons to venture to The Marina, Mindarie
Conveniently located just 30 minutes out of Perth, The Marina, Mindarie is a favourite destination for both tourists and locals alike. And the list of things to do there is growing by the week.
On Saturday 26 October, The Marina, Mindarie will play host to the Boardwalk Beer Festival, the only free beer festival of its size in Perth which will bring together over twenty craft breweries and cideries from around W.A.
Guests can enjoy complimentary tastings of innovative craft beers on tap, as well as sample a glorious array of cuisine from huge range of street food stalls.
Of course, there’ll be live music, too, because you know good beer goes best with good tunes.
The Boardwalk Beer Festival is sponsored by Little Creatures but the range of quality brew is oh-so broad, featuring the Indian Ocean Brewing Co, Gage Roads, Eagle Bay Brewing, Green Beacon Brewing Co, Moon Dog Brewing, Thorny Devil, and a whole lot more.
New to the Marina is cosy Italian eatery, Ritrovo, a great little venue for catching up with friends and family, while soaking in Mindarie’s stunning waterside views.
Ritrovo’s ethos is one of simplicity and excellence – think traditional recipes prepared with simple ingredients, all executed exceptionally well.
Sicilian-hailed Salvatore Lanzafame and head chef Fabrizio Baglio have brought their home-grown roots and creativity to the table, with a menu that will transport diners’ tastebuds directly to the Mediterranean. Menu highlights include fresh antipasti, amatriciana (spicy pasta with tomatoes and pancetta), fried calamari, and cannoli di ricotta.

Melbourne Cup ought to be circled already on your social calendar, but if you’ve not finalised a place to be on the day, the Indian Ocean Brewing Co is offering a three-course luncheon, Cup Day style, to accompany the brewery’s latest small batch release.Punters who may not want the whole sit-down experience are also welcome to join in on the Cup vibe, with a complimentary drink on arrival.
Tickets to the Indian Ocean Brewing Co Melbourne Cup luncheon ($65pp) are available here.
