It’s official: Jared Leto is re-entering the DC fold to reprise his role as the Joker from 2016’s Suicide Squad. The Joker will play a big part in Zack Snyder’s fresh version of Justice League, currently in production.
The film is allegedly coming in at four hours long, and will premiere on US network HBO in 2021. Whether it will be a standalone production or slated as a mini-series is not yet confirmed.
And stories are sure to about during the remainder of production. In the making of Suicide Squad, reports circulated that Leto went so method in his acting, he sent fellow cast members disturbing gifts, including a dead pig to actress Viola Davis.
Leto did not appear in Robbie’s next outing as Harley Quinn, “Birds of Prey”; and he’s not expected to appear in James Gunn’s follow-up “The Suicide Squad” next year.
