American Horror Story Season 10 cast-reveal video and teaser poster appear to clash in theme
There’s a bit of a dichotomy going on between the video teaser for American Horror Story Season 10 and the first promotional poster.
While the video clip sees one single shot of a smooth ocean cut to the strains of a folksy chillout track and revealing only the names of the new season cast, a teaser poster boasts a lipsticked mouth open to reveal such sharp teeth, even Pennywise would be impressed.
Smooth seas versus sharp teeth = we’re not really sure what’s going on here.
Some fans have suggested the imagery could hint towards a vicious sea-creature theme – perhaps killer mermaids or freaky monsters that are half-human, half-shark?
It certainly looks like the sea theme is in, though, since producer Ryan Murphy’s last clue was a picture of a beach with a knocked-down fence and other trailers have suggested marine connotations.
Still, Murphy said recently, “A lot of what I was going to shoot was dependent on a very specific moment, it was a weather-dependent show, so now I don’t know. I don’t know what we’re going to do.”
Which leaves us all in the dark, then.
But we’re all happy with the cast so far, which includes favourites Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Lily Rabe, Evan Peters and a whole lot more. Oh, and the fabulous Angelica Ross, whom Cream had the pleasure of interviewing recently – that very interview appearing online this December.
