Perth Festival and RTRFM present WA Mixtape: a taster of fab local acts performing live
Queency is one of the many acts set to perform as part of WA Mixtape, a live concert as part of Perth Festival.
If there’s one good thing that’s come out of the Covid pandemic and haphazard opening and closing of borders, it’s that we’ve turned to local talent a lot more in the name of quality entertainment.
On that tip, Perth Festival has teamed up with local radio favourite RTRFM to present WA Mixtape, a live concert featuring some of the state’s best live musicians performing iconic WA covers and originals.
The event will take place in the glorious surrounds of Government House Gardens but the real highlight is the artist bill.
Set to deliver their best are Dennis Cometti + Kim Salmon, Your Girl Pho + Katy Steele, Carla Geneve, Odette Mercy & Her Soul Atomics, Noah Dillon, Rabbit Island, The Struggling Kings, Queency, Gemma Farrell Music, and the Bad Ass Gospel Choir featuring Abbe May, Ofa Fotu, Queency, Tara John & Joni Hogan. Phew!
WA Mixtape will run for a solid three hours and you can expect, according to Perth Fest, “an aural smorgasbord of bands and music covering an eclectic range of styles and eras.”
