Kraftwerk announce Australia and New Zealand tour dates

Electro pioneers Kraftwerk have announced an Australia and New Zealand tour this November/December.

The German pioneers, often cited as inspiration to techno and EDM bands of today, will be performing in Wellington, Auckland, Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne, Adelaide and Perth.

Kraftwerk concerts are not only renowned for their excellent audio delivery but for their brilliant visuals with one German reviewer calling them “Gesamtkunstwerk – a total work of art”. 

Kraftwerk started out in 1970 by lovers of all things electric, Ralf Huetter and Florian Schneider. They set up their electronic Kling Klang Studio in Duesseldorf, where they conceived and produced all Kraftwerk albums.

Schneider passed away in 2020 but his co-production skills are immortalised in classic songs including The Model, The Robots, Autobahn and Musique Nonstop.

Tickets to the Australian and New Zealand converts go on sale Wednesday 19 July via Frontier Touring.
