Bigsound offers big opportunities to mix with music’s best
That great big music industry conference Bigsound is on again this year, running over four days and three nights from September 5 – 8 in Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley.
This year, an impressive array of international artists and music pros will gather to discusss an ever-evolving industry, looking to a future of making great music and getting it to the right peeps.

During the day, attendees can benefit from panel discussions where music professionals offer insights and thought-provoking topics, while in the evenings 140+ artists will be showcasing their talent in venues across Fortitude Valley’s live music precinct.
Dubbed the Southern hemisphere’s largest music industry gathering, this is the place the uncovered such artists as Courtney Barnett, Tones and I, The Temper Trap, Flume, Tampa The Great, Gang of Youths and many more.

Over the courses of the four days, delegates get to mix in alongside top creative minds such as past guests Nick Cave, Neil Finn, Kim Gordon, Simon Raymonde (Bella Union / Cocteau Twins), Billy Bragg, Amanda Palmer, Peter Garrett, Ben Lee, Seymore Stein (Sire), Michael Chugg and Steve Earle.

Speakers locked in so far include Christine Anu (pictured, above), Anna Lunoe, Kate Miller-Heidke, Simon Napier-Bell, and a host of other established and influential movers and shakers.
