THE NEW. RETRO. MODERN.

A decent heads-up on what to expect at next year’s Perth Comedy Festival

The Perth Comedy Festival will once again bring the best local, national and international comics together for a month of LOLs with shows at the Regal Theatre (Subiaco), Astor Theatre (Mt Lawley), The Rechabite (Northbridge) and Freo Social next year from 22nd April – 19th May.

The Festival is tickled pink (or should we say green) to announce everyone’s favourite ogre-inspired parody show Swamplesque will be making a splash/mess at the Regal Theatre with four not-to-be-missed shows 26th– 28th April.

After a sold-out Australian tour and having been decreed a new name, this award-winning critically acclaimed show offers a smorgasbord of performance including burlesque, drag, musical theatre and even opera. It’s side splittingly funny, surreal, outrageous and definitely adults only!

Brisbane’s Luke Heggie is set to return for another visit to the West Coast bringing his trademark dry deadpan style humour with him delivering a show called Grogan (3rd May at the Regal Theatre) which is not recommended for anyone who was brought up to believe nothing is their fault. Because, as Heggie will tell you, most things are your fault.

The ever-popular Perth Comedy Festival Gala will bring together a dazzling line-up of the Festival’s funniest international stars, Australian legends and next-big-things across three nights at the Regal Theatre (1st, 8th and 15th May).

And, friends south of the river who prefer to stay in the shire, can enjoy the Perth Comedy Festival Showcase at Freo Social on 2nd, 9th and 16th May.

Expertly curated and lovingly presented, these mixed bag shows are the perfect way to whet your appetite and get Festival ready!

Tickets are on sale now and more shows are set to be announced next month.
