THE NEW. RETRO. MODERN.

Could there be a second volume of Britney Spears’ memoir in the works?

As if the hype and response to Britney Spears’ recently released memoir wasn’t enough to take up space in every corner of the internet, the pop star has teased that a second volume to the memoir could be released next year.

The singer’s book The Woman In Me was released last week (October 24) and has dominated headlines due to revelations about her abortion during her relationship with Justin Timberlake and her subsequent breakup with the ex-NSYNC singer.

Following its publication, Britney took to social media to announce, “Humor is the cure to everything !!! Play on !!! Volume 2 will be released next year … get ready!”

Of course “Volume 2” could refer to a new song or full album that might touch on aspects of her past, but we’ll have to wait and see.

The news comes following the 25th anniversary of Britney’s debut single, …Baby One More Time, which its writer Max Martin said “changed the landscape of pop music”, perhaps going a little too far with the self-adulation when he added:

“Da Vinci painted the ‘Mona Lisa’ and Max Martin composed …Baby One More Time, and I think this is no overstatement to claim that every single second of …Baby One More Time is f**king glorious.”

Tickets much?
