More excellent acts announced for the Mushroom 50 Live concert event

Australian music fans must be getting pretty excited about the Mushroom 50 Live concert, celebrating half a century of sonic delight courtesy of one of the country’s most recognised record companies.

The concert, which will be broadcast live on Channel 7 and 7plus from 7pm on Sunday 26 November will be an event like no other, featuring fifty songs to celebrate fifty years of incredible Australian music.

International artists such as Garbage, alt-J and Ed Sheeran will join in on the celebration – alongside an army of local acts including Amy Shark, Birds of Tokyo, Bliss N Eso, Christine Anu and Dan Sultan, along with legends like Paul Kelly, Jimmy Barnes, Kate Ceberano, Ross Wilson and more.

Also announced today, Australian indie-rock band Youth Group will be joined by Budjerah, Mia Wray and Sam Smith for a unique and fresh performance of the familiar classic ‘Forever Young’.

Says Mushroom Group CEO Matt Gudinski, “Our team has pulled together something truly special that we’re all proud of and we’re thrilled to bring this once-in-a-lifetime concert to living rooms right across the country.”

Final tickets to the live event are on sale now. Visit the Ticketek website or www.mushroom50.com for more information.
