A smattering of tiny houses have cropped up across WA to make your road trips a little comfier

Their name might be a little on the naff side but the service they offer is such a clever idea for road trips this holiday season. Introducing a series of stunning new ‘mini’ houses across the state of Western Australia care of hot little accommodation company, Tiny Away.
These impressively self-sufficient “compact homes on wheels” are made with sustainable materials and include waterless compost toilets, rainwater collection tanks for showers, and even solar panels.
A step up from glamping, each tiny house offers hot showers, air conditioning, a cosy queen bed, and a kitchenette. Surrounded by natural wonder, basically it’s all about experiencing the great outdoors in comfort and safety.

The tiny homes vary in design and each boasts state-of-the-art features both inside and outside.
Take the tiny Avon River Homestead in Beverley (pictured top of story), located deep in the tranquil Wheatbelt region, just an hour’s drive from Perth. There’s a mountain lookout nearby, as well as Avon Valley National Park and other beautiful nature spots.

Or try one of the twin tiny homes in Wally’s Retreat, Greenbushes (above), just an hour’s drive from Busselton. Nearby are the Golden Valley Tree Park and Shamrock Hotel Greenbushes, and just 20 minutes is the town of Newlands. It’s the cutest way to go couples camping, that’s for sure!
