On Wednesday, They Wore Pink: to the premiere of the new ‘Mean Girls’
One of the key lines from the original Mean Girls movie was “On Wednesdays, we wear pink” and on Wednesday last week, filmgoers flocked to the cinema for the Perth premiere of Mean Girls, the reboot, in pink wardrobe, head to toe.
The carpet at Events Innaloo was a blinding sea of the fairer hue, with peeps dressed in pink, fuschia and rose from head to toe, sipping pink drinks (the musk vodkas were fetch), all rather excited to see the 2020s reboot of an early naughties classic.
The new ‘Mean Girls’ is a joy to watch – plenty of fresh attitude from The Plastics, and several nods to classic phrases from the original movie. The characters are someone more enlightened but thankfully not too woke, and all the jokes are on-point.
