War Child charity auction features lots from Ed Sheeran, Carey Mulligan, Mark Ruffalo, Pet Shop Boys, The Crown cast and more

War Child is the only specialist charity for children affected by war and conflict. They’re driven by a single goal: to ensure a safe future for every child living through war.
Each year, War Child runs a Spring Clean auction, with this year’s event about to round up and on until tomorrow midnight, May 16.
A bunch of generous celebrities have donated exclusive memorabilia and personal treasures, all up for auction. Items include clothing worn in music videos and on the cover of albums, signed musical instruments, original vinyl pressings, film costumes and more.
For example, you could get your mitts on a limited edition book of the Saltburn script signed by Carey Mulligan and cast contributed by director Emerald Fennell.
Or there’s a signed Barbie poster by Margot Robbie; the original director’s script for Love Actually – complete with previously unreleased scenes – donated by Richard Curtis and Emma Freud; passionate cook Stanley Tucci’s signed cookware; Gillian Anderson’s Sex Education jacket; Neil Tennant of Pet Shop Boys’ stunning coat as worn on the cover of the band’s latest album Nonetheless; and Ed Sheeran and Nile Rodger’s signed guitars.

Famous faces have delved into their cupboards, kitchens and studios, and fans can support an important cause to win additional personal treasures including a signed drum skin from Coldplay; custom apparel worn by Bastille on stage; memorabilia from Netflix hit The Crown including costumes worn by Vanessa Kirby and Emma Corrin and an exclusive script and clapperboard signed by the cast. Heck, the Queen Elizabeth II costume as worn by Imelda Staunton in the Crown (pictured below) is currently going for under 200 pounds (around AUD320). That is a bargain!

There are also film scripts including The Banshees of Inisherin signed by Martin McDonagh and Evita signed by Jonathan Pryce; a signed Incredible Hulk action figure from Mark Ruffalo, plus more from stars including Bradley Cooper, Olivia Colman, Florence & The Machine, Muse, Bastille, Paul Weller, Mark Knopfler and Sigur Rós.

See all these items and more on the auction page here and build your booty of pop culture collectibles knowing it’s all for a great cause.
The War Child Spring Clean auction ends 12pm UK time May 16, 2024.
