THE NEW. RETRO. MODERN.

WIN! Double passes to a special screening at Luna Leederville of new Aussie horror/thriller ‘In The Room Where He Waits’

Horror takes a decidedly queer turn in the new chilling psychological thriller In The Room Where He Waits. The film – written and co-directed by Timothy Desphina Marshall and co-directed and produced by Bec Dakin- takes place mid Covid pandemic, and speaks on the subjects of grief and abandonment while in lockdown.

The story follows theatre actor Tobin who returns to Australia in the lead-up to his father’s funeral. First, he must isolate himself in a hotel room for seven days, which turns into the scariest isolation yet.

The film stars Daniel Monks (Pulse, Lord of the Flies) alongside Susie Porter, Annabel Marshall-Roth, Anthony Brandon Wong, Nicholas Papademetriou, Sunny S. Walia and Chris Bartholomew.

Luna Leederville will be presenting a special screening of In The Room Where He Waits on Tuesday 11th June featuring co-director/co-producer Bec Dakin live to answer questions from the audience. Also appearing via Zoom will be acclaimed actor-filmmaker-screenwriter Daniel Monks – who hails from Perth but is currently in London.
