THE NEW. RETRO. MODERN.

AI makes its way into music video with artist Peter Gabriel leading the charge in the bot-generated revolution

AI-generated art is all over the internet, and its popularity looks like like growing exponentially. While fine artists are readily taking to the artform, surprisingly I’ve not seen many in the music industry making the most of this effective tool in video creation. One artist who has consistently commissioned works using AI art generation is Peter Gabriel whose most recent single releases Panopticom and The Court are superlative examples for future artists to draw inspiration from.

Peter Gabriel recently commissioned artists to create AI-generated clips for his songs ‘Panopticom’ ↑ and ‘The Court’ ↓ with amazing results.

Text-to-image software programs Dall-E 3 and Deep AI are considered two of the best, but there are plenty of other image-generating programs that do the trick for a small fee; in fact you can practice on some of these for free.

Most text-to-image software programs provide very good AI generation for a minimal monthly fee. One of my favourites is Deep Dream Generator which I love for its simplicity in navigation and immensity in content.

You’ll be seeing a lot more AI artwork in the pages of Cream, quite simply because I’m addicted to making it! You will be, too, once you give it a go. Simply go to a site like deepdreamgenerator.com, click the ‘Generate’ button, key in your description (let your imagination run wild) – et voila! – your artwork will appear.

Have fun!
